President Donald Trump tonight will deliver his first major prime-time address on the Iran war, which has now entered its 32nd day, pledging to reiterate a timeline of two to three weeks for American forces to exit the region. Earlier Wednesday, Trump stated on social media that Iran had asked for a ceasefire — a claim Tehran's Foreign Ministry flatly rejected as "false and baseless." The Strait of Hormuz remains effectively closed, with ship transits crashing from 130 per day in February to just six in March — a 95% decline, according to UNCTAD. At least 1,900 Iranians and 13 U.S. service members have been killed since hostilities began February 28.
